Our Cake for Pav and Ely’s Wedding…

In our downtime this week, I made a wedding cake for my good friend and colleague Pavlina Hatoupis and her incredible now husband, Ely Menin. The top tier is a lemon butter cake, made with the lemons from our front yard. The bottom and third tier are classic yellow cakes with italian buttercream frosting. The second tier is a carrot cake topped with cream cheese italian buttercream and home candied carrots. Here are some photos after the sun had softened the frosting and left it a little less picturesque.
